“Sometimes a combination of different materials works out so well, you’re surprised you don’t see it more often.”
The walnut wood is from the Belgian Ardennes. It’s about 150 years old, and after harvesting, it spent another four years drying before it found its way to us. When making a table, we first select the wood and assemble the different parts of the table together. Then we focus on the shape. We never work with a specific shape in mind, but let the natural silhouette of the tree inspire us. This means every table that leaves our workshop is guaranteed to be one of a kind. After we’re done sanding and shaping the tabletop, and we’re finally satisfied with the result, we first coat the wood with a nice layer of epoxy. Then we finish the tabletop with another, thinner, layer of hard lacquer.
Are you looking for a specific size or shape? We also make tables upon request, just get in touch with us and let us know what it is you’re looking for.
“The steel gives the shiny top an industrial look.”
The legs of our tables are made of steel. We’re crazy about the effect it creates in combination with the wood and epoxy. The legs are handcrafted in a small workshop near Utrecht. We currently offer the legs in two finishes: steel (untreated) and black and white (powder coated). Other colors or materials are available upon request.
